How Sitting Down Will Cure Poverty, Remove Terrorism And Save The World.

Sounds like a dream right?

The world is a mess.

The world is perfect.

It just depends on your angle.

However you look at it, things need to change.

You’re probably thinking, ‘Thats all very well to say that we should all spend our days sitting around meditating but how are we going to fix the economy/terrorists/benefit scroungers?’

It’s hard to change things when everyone with a vested interest in things staying as they are tell you that this is the only way.

It’s not and I’ll tell you why.

The world needs a shift in evolution. Something swift and seismic to clear away old thinking, ineffective habits and destructive policies laid out by chummy governments that look after the few and ignore the majority.

We are heading into election week in the UK so permit me to be a little bit preoccupied with the propaganda flying around right now.

If any of the policies being trotted out could have the kind of impact on the world that brings greater harmony, deeper understanding and an open sense of connection I’m sure I would have heard about it.

I haven’t heard about it, in case you’re wondering.

It’s hard to fix a situation using the same tools and thoughts that created that situation.

So right now we all have a responsibility to start thinking about things in a new way. We have to start being open to possibilities.

In 1993 a group of researchers did just that by attempting to reduce the crime rate in Washington by gathering together and meditating.

Washington graphIf you take a look at the graph of the results you can see the percentage drop in crime level shown in brown. It looks like the McDonalds share price after we discovered that feeding the remains of cows back to cows led to to people developing fatal brain diseases!

Just imagine if a government in power had created anything close to this impact as a result of policies that they had implemented.

It would be the kind of story that you would never hear the last of.

If it was their success in locking up criminals, or punishing them, or releasing them, or rehabilitating them, or executing them (I suppose that’s one way having impact), or increasing police numbers, or decreasing police numbers they would be rightly chuffed to bits.

Instead it was the result of a group of meditators influencing the unified field of conscious to bring about a shift in connection and harmony across an entire federal district.

And that’s hard for politicians to understand so they dismiss it. Anything that isn’t a direct result of them doing stuff won’t register at all.

It’s hard for money minded traditionalists that are keen on waging war on problems, before selling weapons to them, to get their heads around.

But the good news is that we can go ahead and do it anyway.

Because the change that you can evoke within yourself through meditation is the change that you will start to see manifest in your reality.

Without fail.

In 1987 Merseyside had the third highest crime rate of the eleven largest Metropolitan areas of England and Wales. A similar programme was carried out there as well with a group meditating daily for a period of over five years.

By 1992 Liverpool had the lowest crime rate of that group.

The potential economic savings that would result through the effects of a crime rate drop like this could exceed £1,250 million according to the Home Office.

Your fears about sorting out the economy should be easing now.

We sit and meditate together as a race of humans and we create shifts in our consciousness. We see new ways of working that fit with our evolving values and ambition.

We still have to do the work but from an enlightened perspective not an ignorant one.

We decide that spending billions of pounds on weapons that can destroy us and the planet we share in a stroke makes no sense.

We decide that constructing a health service to look after people rather than to make profit for a few wealthy individuals would be a good way to go.

We see now that the dumping of poisonous chemicals and metals into our rivers and seas just to save some money is the kind of destructive behaviour that jars with our sense of place in the world.

We don’t need anyone to tell us this, or land us with heavy penalties as a deterrent.

We know because when we meditate and we connect with the universal wisdom it becomes clear.

When we do this together it becomes amplified. Superfied. Not sitting around hoping things will change but channeling into the higher states for guidance.

Then we get up and act.
